car wash gone wrong

This was a day before Beau got sick so he definitely looks less smiley and more lethargic in these photos. Almost the entire time he didn’t feel well he would say “show…… shhhooooowwww” which obviously means he wants to watch a youtube video of any type of singing cartoon. Anything that’s really annoying and gets stuck in your head are always his favorites :). And I’m telling you this boy practically never not has a car in his hand! I sort of just melt over these pictures of him and his big juicy lips (insert so many heart eye emojis). We are so excited it’s the weekend and we are all healthy. Beau is back to sleeping in his crib through the night! Part of me misses having him snuggle me all night long when he was sick. But mostly I’m just so happy he is back to his energetic self again.

So yesterday I decided to go get the car washed. It was filthy and I figured Beau would love the ride through the soap and water. He did not. Afterward at the vacuums I let Beau out of his car seat to sit in the driver’s seat (with the car off) so he could pretend to drive while I vacuumed. I closed the back of the car and went to vacuum the front only to discover I have left my keys in the cupholder and Beau has hit the lock button while playing. So he locked himself in with the keys and my phone. I had to ask a random person to borrow her phone to call 911 to send the fire department to get my car open! Needless to say it was kind of embarrassing having an enormous fire truck with like 5 guys come get my car open. Lesson learned, always keep your keys on you. Huge #momfail

I’m glad to hear that your family felt better over the weekend, this time of the year being healthy is a priority!
Wow, I can only imagine how afraid you were when this happened and the look on your face when the fire truck came. I think in few years when you’ll tell this story to Beau you will all laugh so hard))

Oh my gosh… what a story!! One you’ll find funnier and funnier as more time passes. And definitely a great one to tell your son when he’s older. His outfit is daring, such cute socks and the shirt the the patch elbow!
