wednesday’s with beau

One of Beau’s favorite spots in our house is on the bottom stairs. He loves to play with his cars and get his eyes right on their level so he can see every detail. He gets very focused and I just know his imagination is going wild with all those cars. I love to sit with him and watch him play and hear all the words he says. This boy is saying literally EVERYTHING. He is a parrot and can say practically any word. His pronunciation is the craziest to me because I can understand everything too. Yesterday I was doing his hair and saying “mama has to put some product in your hair.” And he instantly says “product, product!” And I’m telling you he said it perfect. It’s so wonderful to watch him learn and grow. I am amazed how smart he is! Maybe it’s because he’s my only one and I don’t know how babies are “supposed” to be. But to me he is so smart and grown up and it makes me so happy/breaks my heart at how big he is getting. I am soaking in every moment I get each day because it’s gone so fast. Even when he is the naughtiest. And he can be an absolute terror! He turns sweet the next second, like a sour patch kid. And really that’s exactly what he is. My sour patch baby.
