Yay for Friday! Hooray we are so happy the weekend is here. Today is my husband’s 34th birthday and I am so excited to take him out tonight to celebrate! My mom is watching the baby and we are having a child free night together. We don’t get many of those so I’m excited! I am going to blog about him and his birthday next week because he’s so amazing. Speaking of amazing……this dainty jewelry has been on me since I got it. I was so excited to partner up with Brin & Bell and snag a few gems. My “B” bracelet for my Beau or Blake ;), and I wear this wishbone necklace practically every single day.

These photos have some of my favorite things together….my baby, this dress, and this towel. My new friend has a shop called mae woven with the cutest pillows, towels, and bags. When she sent us this towel I was instantly in love. I not only use it as Beau’s bath towel but it hangs in my bathroom 24/7 because it’s just so pretty. And also this dress….. you really need it. This weekend my childhood friend came and took a few snaps of my babe and me. He is just the best little model baby. His favorite thing in the world is listening to songs or being sang to, so in all of these photos of the two of us I am singing to him. And boy do his eyes sparkle when he gets sung to! We are so happy it’s Friday over here. Blake had to go out of town this past week for work, which happens like once a year. Every single time I dread it. It’s not because I have to be a single mom for a few days, because really my baby is such a good boy for me mooooost of the time. But I just really miss HIM. So hooray for him being home and all of us back in our beds (Beau and I stayed at my parents while Blake was gone). And since Blake was gone on Sunday night I had to wait until Wednesday night to watch the season finale of The Walking Dead. Does anyone watch it? I am a HUGE fan, but this season just did nothing for me. Except for staring at Daryl Dixon I just haven’t been impressed. And the season finale was really only good the last 7 minutes of the total 90 minutes. So here’s hoping that gets better next season.

Anyway, happy weekend! We will be playing outside in the warmth.

a warmer week

This weeks weather has been so much sunnier than we’ve had in a little while so we have been enjoying playing outside. Beau is OBSESSED with being outside so much he hangs on the doors constantly begging for me to take him out. My Blake has been out of town for work the past few days which I hate more than anything. But he is coming home tomorrow!! I couldn’t be more excited. Beau and I have been staying with my parents while he has been gone. I’m not used to staying alone in our new house so I just decided to stay with them so I didn’t freak myself out being me and the babe alone. Plus staying at my parents means I get to share a bed with Beau and I just love snuggling up to him. Last night he slept on my neck for a few hours! And while it was not the most comfortable for me, I just soaked it up. It’s not very often this boy will give me a cuddle anymore.

This weekend was so wonderful because we got to spend time together as a family and watch general conference for our church. It is always one of my favorite weekends of the year and this one was just amazing. Plus it’s finally getting warm so we had a lot of walks outside in the warmth with the three of us. Beau doesn’t really even care about a playground, he just wants to run in the grass and be outside. It is the best to watch him light up when he’s outside. But it’s really terrible when we have to take him back in. It is full on backbend tantrums with bribing him on the side. These photos of him are some of my favorites because this romper makes him look like a little baby still. Heart eye emoji’s foreverrrrrrrr for him.

You guys, I was kind of nervous to post these. I am not a swimsuit model and I’m not super comfortable flaunting myself around (insert monkey covering eyes emoji). But when Rad Swim sent me these suits I tried them on and fell in love. I was actually comfortable in them! I love a good one piece almost more than a good two piece. I am so excited to take my baby swimming this summer and wear these to the pool. So if you’re looking for a new swimsuit, look no further! Now if only the weather could actually get warm. I’ve mentioned before how much Beau LOVES books. Being read to is one of his favorite things, and something we do every single day. So when Bookroo reached out we were so excited! I mean you should see Beau’s collection of reading material, and honestly you can never have too many books. One of his new books has a baby in it so of course he has to always point out the baby and say: “baby in a diappy” over and over again! Reading time will always be one of my most favorites with him. I am a huge fan of backpacks, so when Sage & Harper sent me this one I was immediately in love! I love this color, but they have others that I’m also pretty crazy about. Backpacks are the best and easiest option with babies. Anything where I can use both my hands is a thumbs up for me. Plus the patterns on these bags are the cutest! I hope you all had the best Easter weekend spent with your families, eating lots of treats.

sick sick sick

I’ve been non existent on this blog this week. Sickness hit me hard late Saturday night and stayed with me until right about now. I am still in the no energy stage of being sick. My most horrible symptoms are gone but the week body, fuzzy head, and no appetite still remain. It was one of those sicknesses where you just lay there and ache, and occasionally cry, and then feel worse from the crying because it accentuates the headache and the cough, etc. My husband really knows how to swoop in and be a hero because he took Beau and completely took over all mothering duties for 2 straight days. He even took work off on Monday to let me rest. By Tuesday I had to brave it on my own because he really does have to go to work sometime. It is not fun being sick and taking care of a baby, as any mom will tell you. But my boy really is as sweet as they come and he even took a 4 HOUR NAP on Tuesday!!!! So anyhow, now things are working their way back to normal and I’m just grateful to be feeling good again. Just in time for Easter weekend! Happy Friday guys, I hope everyone stays healthy.
